  • "It was great to work at Mercy Sound. They did everything possible to accommodate us, and made sure we were happy with the finished product. I'd go back there again anytime!"

Matt Katz-Bohen Keyboardist, Songwriter from Blondie
  • "Our experience at Mercy Sound making Ghosts Of Download was exceptional. Being in the environment there was a great plus to our creative process. We collaborated with many of the people at the studio and the result added to the record and recording process. I hope to get back there in the future.”

Chris Stein Songwriter, Guitarist from Blondie
  • "Mercy Sound has been my first choice in NYC studios for many years. Scott and Co. provide you with an amazing experience and you always leave with killer sounding tracks!"

Jamie Candiloro Producer, Engineer for R.E.M., Willie Nelson, The Eagles, Ryan Adams
  • "Scott was the one who taught me everything I know about Pro Tools, Logic and digital audio in general. As a studio builder and owner he gave me my first opportunity to use the top pre-amps, microphones and compressors known to mankind, as I learned how to record first my own music, and then the countless bands in New York that came to our studio. I worked at Mercy Sound recently, and yes, his new studio there had everything I had always expected from Scott, and more- making my sessions there a breeze. A great sounding breeze at that!"

Gordon Raphael producer, engineer for The Strokes
  • "I live in San Francisco and sometimes work in NY, always at Mercy. All the rooms there are cool, each has it's own feel. They all have great gear. Plus it's a fun neighborhood to work in. And the other engineers there are really good."

Jeff Saltzman producer, engineer for Blondie, The Killers, Smash Mouth, Death Cab for Cutie
  • "Mercy is one of the last great recording studios. Located on the east side downtown, this place has a great atmosphere and vibe. Scott and everyone that works there make you feel right at home. I've worked in several of the rooms there and always had great results. Mercy is one of our town's best kept secrets!"

Jesse Malin songwriter, singer, musican for D Generation
  • "I can say without a doubt that I've done the best mixing of my career at Mercy. I've been in loads of rooms with racks and racks of cool-looking, but mostly useless equipment that just make you feel like you're in a science lab. Every piece of gear at Mercy is perfectly curated and not-to-be-missed, the vibe is warm and comfortable, and each room is so well tuned that every spot is the sweet spot. Neither I nor any artist I ever worked with ever left this place feeling anything but thrilled."

Dan Huron producer, engineer for TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Telepathe, Scarlett Johansson
  • "Hey check out Mercy Studios, we always do if we're in New York and need to record or mix. Ultra Professional setup,  friendly staff, very helpful and top line equipment to complete any project."

Selwyn Brown keyboardist, singer, songwriter from Steel Pulse
  • "I can't believe it took me so long to get around to Mercy Studios. So convenient, so hassle free, and 3 rooms full of A level outboard gear. It's definitely become my go-to tracking and overdub spot."

Don DiLego producer for Beautiful Small Machines, Jesse Malin, Hollis Brown
  • "Mercy Studios is one of NYC's best kept secrets, dope sound, comfortable working atmosphere, great location and the Legendary Kid Named Cus manning the board...what more can you ask for? Definitely one of my favorite places to lab out"

    Junkyard Juju The Beatnuts
  • "I Love working at Mercy Sound . I get that 100% NYC studio vibe. Not too "Accessible" and not too "Corporate". The studio is always upgrading and on point! The engineering staff especially Cus & Hernan are on point & I only want to record & mix out of Mercy Sound. There isn't any other room I'd rather work out of."

Kwamé Multi Platinum Producer & Recording Artist
  • "I've found Mercy Sound to be a fun, funky place to work. And oh yeah, tons of cool Gear!!! A Great Value, many thanks Scott."

Richard Mendelson Assistant Professor Music Production & Engineering, Berklee College of Music
  • "For smaller studios, you cannot go wrong with Mercy Sound Studios located in Alphabet City. It has always been my favorite affordable studio. Scott the owner is a saint and complete gear nut (the Lucas mics, Inward Connections Tube Sidecar and the vintage Gates 1957 STA-Level come to mind). One of my favorite memories at Mercy was working with Phoebe Snow before she passed. Anybody who ever worked with her knew she was a handful to deal with and she absolutely loved it and had a blast being there. It is definitely the best bang for your buck on the east coast. I love recording any and all live instruments."

Adam Sussman producer, engineer for Phoebe Snow
